Secondwind Community Involvement
Keeping It Local
Community involvement is important to our core values. Secondwind proudly participates in its broader professional community. You can often find a Secondwind Water Specialist teaching a class to Realtors, Homebuilders, or to other water professionals through the NH Water Works Association, Granite State Rural Water Association, or the State of NH sponsored DES training events.
We also give back to the community in other ways by sponsoring local events, making donations to and volunteering at local nonprofits, and keeping it local in whatever ways we possibly can. Below are just a few of the projects we’ve had the pleasure of working on in the recent past.
NH Parade of Homes
The NH Parade of Homes project offers local builders and remodelers the opportunity to enter a special home they’ve built which showcases their talents and those of their subcontractors. Secondwind Water Systems is one of these subcontractors who support the builders. The LRBRA has organized and presented the NH Parade of Homes project in 2012 and in 2013.
Over the Columbus Day weekend, this year’s Parade showcased 6 builders and 7 homes in the Lakes Region. The LRBRA itself also had a home to showcase. Through the combined volunteer efforts of the LRBRA homebuilder and subcontractor members, we collectively built, painted, furnished and decorated, “The Children’s Charity House,” 190 Turner Way, in Laconia. Building on Hope
This year, through a local business networking group in Manchester NH, Secondwind Water Systems has been asked to volunteer with the Building On Hope organization. Building on Hope is a community organization that was founded in 2009 and consists of builders, architects, designers who donate their time and materials to help non-profit organizations that offer human services to New Hampshire residents.
