During the early years of the company, Secondwind handled the chemical treatment of boilers, cooling towers and open and closed loop heating and cooling (and even waste water treatment chemicals). After a number of years we stopped these services to focus on our core business, the installation and service of water treatment equipment.
Recently, we changed our minds and joined forces with our favorite representative from Dubois Chemicals because we felt that a deeper involvement with process water treatment was a powerful addition to our existing services and the Dubois product line was comprehensive and backed by strong technical support. We worked with him for years, most noticeably at the Dartmouth College campus buildings. He would hire us to install the chemical delivery systems while he would select and monitor the chemical treatment so it became a logical step for us to offer the chemical treatment choices to our clients.
In my travels, I have heard from some of our best Mechanical Contractors that they have had trouble getting the solutions they need to some of the problems they see at their client sites. I believe this is because the chemical companies have found that the costs of dedicated technical support is too high for the return on sales of chemicals for all but the largest of clients.
We see a gap in service and product supply that we know we can fill with our signature high-quality approach. Secondwind has dedicated, full-time sampling agents, which means we can support route based maintenance and monitoring for small clients in a way that is not realistic for even the best of the chemical treatment companies.
So, we now offer world-class treatment chemicals and materials, highly technical support, strong monitoring capabilities and a full range of water quality solutions for both open and closed loop systems for commercial customers. If you are concerned about the level of support you are getting from your supplier, or are interested in alternatives to your present approach, we’d love to talk with you about supporting your process water treatment.
