We’re committed to water treatment training
At Secondwind Water, we consider ourselves experts in the field of water treatment. However, as basketball Coach John Wooden imparted, having the humility to acknowledge all that we don’t know is the hallmark of true wisdom. In that spirit, we embrace a company-wide commitment to ongoing water treatment training and customer support training.
Hands-on training for our technicians, customer service representatives and water specialists have focused around the service aspects of our business. Goals for these trainings include:
- Creating more versatility with our technicians in order to have more availability and capacity to meet the needs of our customers
- Improving equipment knowledge for our customer service representatives, resulting in a stronger ability to troubleshoot and assist customers over the phone
- Ensuring our technicians have the most up-to-date knowledge on our technologies and equipment
- Supporting our technicians in being on-site, agile troubleshooters
- Fostering an environment of curiosity and learning so that everyone in our company remains engaged and committed to growth
Training to aid commercial water customers
Secondwind Water Systems has worked with GeoInsight for nearly 20 years. GeoInsight is an environmental strategy and engineering firm with locations in New Hampshire, Connecticut and Massachusetts. We work with an environmental engineer on gasoline or fuel release sites.
GeoInsight identifies and tests at the sites, and then we work with their team on treatment design and installation, and also provide ongoing service. We currently treat about 35 of GeoInsight’s wells. We are proud to offer education that helps GeoInsight improve service to their clients.
To support GeoInsight with their gasoline sites, we held a training for their team at our headquarters in Manchester. Commercial water specialists from Secondwind taught them how to simplify their site sampling.
The goal of the training was to make the GeoInsight team feel comfortable at different sites with the variety of equipment they will encounter. This equipment is often unlabeled. We trained their team on how point-of-entry treatment systems work and what they look like.
Most importantly, we reviewed photos of a number of the systems GeoInsight samples. This helps them identify systems both in and out of bypass, and also helps them identify the best sampling taps. This makes it easier for them to gather samples faster and correctly.
Secondwind’s commitment to commercial customers
Commitment to the customer is a Secondwind core value, so providing ongoing education is one way we deliver on this promise. If you would like to work with us to develop educational programs for your business, employees or clients, contact us. We are happy to help.
Supporting the community is important to Secondwind, too. Aside from working with local non-profit organizations, we also think it’s important to maintain membership in organizations such as the Water Quality Association, New Hampshire Water Works Association, Granite State Rural Water Association, New Hampshire Water Well Association, the Association of Facilities Engineering New Hampshire, and others.
