We’ll Figure It Out.
No matter the puzzle or problem, Water Treatment Installation Supervisor Steven Savary has the same response. “We’ll figure it out.”
Every installation of one of our systems is custom designed and unique to the location. Our Certified Water Specialists design the systems, but technicians like Steven are the ones to navigate all the different things that may come up the day of install. As with anything in life, there are often challenges both big and small that need to be addressed.
“The schedule can be crazy, a job might not be perfectly documented but he responds ‘we’ll figure it out’ and heads out to solve the problems,” says Secondwind President Christine Fletcher. Christopher Vaughn adds, “Steve has a calm about him when he is working. He knows what the next steps are and completes the jobs smoothly from start to finish.” Steven’s experience and can-do attitude make him the perfect person to lead our installation team.
Steven is mechanically extremely competent and at the same time he always wants to learn more. “He recently requested a class in water chemistry for Technicians because he wanted a deeper understanding of what was going on inside the tanks so he could become a better trouble shooter,” commented Fletcher. This desire to always learn provides important leadership for the entire team of technicians.
True New England Work Ethic & Integrity
Any given day you will find Steven exceeding expectations. “He has an unbelievable work ethic of going above and beyond to make sure the day’s work gets done,” says Vaughn. The Customer Service team in the office often relies on Steven to be the hero. “Steven is an Extreme team player,” comments Laura Hassum, Customer Support Specialist. “The Customer Service Reps appreciate how when Steven comes back at the end of his day, if there is a problem in the field he is always willing to hop back in the van and head out to solve it. He always takes care of the customer.”
Steven broke his wrist on the job and the cast was barely dry and he was back at work, eager to not let his “little” injury slow down production. This is certainly something the company never would have expected of him, yet he jumped right back in.
Integrity is another trait that Steven is known for. His colleague and co-supervisor Steve Brow notes that “Steven is honest, hardworking and responsible. He always takes ownership for a problem, and never blames something on someone else.”
A Heart of Gold
“Steven is one of the most caring and giving people I know,” says Fletcher. Whether it is a Secondwinder or someone in his personal life, if there is trouble, he is there. “Steven helps with fundraisers for people having illnesses, or he helps out with someone’s house projects even though he has a ton at his own house. He always has some energy or love for someone he cares about. He adores his family and is very proud of their accomplishments.”
People love working with Steven as well. Kevin Bennett, one of Secondwind’s Water Treatment Installation Technicians mentions how patient Steven is on site. “He is a very good teacher, extremely knowledgeable. (And he knows all the great places to eat all over the state).”
Passionate Advocate
Steven is one of the people in the company who “bleeds Secondwind.” He fights for the company; he fights for what he believes is right or important in how we operate. He is committed, energetic and passionate.
“Like many passionate people if Steven is really upset, you’re going to know it. But he is a pillar, a rock. He would be one of those people you would want with you on a desert island. He’d figure it out,” comments Fletcher.
