Now, we love the traditional, straight up cold glass of water. Nothing could be much healthier or refreshing. That being said, Thanksgiving and the holidays call for something a little… extra.
Here are three fun water recipes to try out on your guests. We think that you’ll love them!
Citrus, Cranberry & Sage Infused Water
- 2 medium sized oranges sliced
- handful of Cranberries ( slice lightly down the center)
- small handful of fresh sage leaves
Place all of the above in a water infusion device with approximately 2 liters of water. Allow it to steep overnight for best results. Garnish with herbs or a piece of sliced orange on the side of the glass for a classy touch.
Cinnamon Ginger Pear Water
- 1 sliced pear
- 6 cinnamon sticks
- fresh grated ginger
The flavors become stronger the longer you allow the ingredients to intermingle. The infused water will stay good for about 3 days in the refrigerator. Serve infused water in mini carafes (75 oz) or large carafes (35 oz) and pair with straws and charger plates.
Gramma’s Cocktail
Want a hot cocktail instead? This warming beverage is pretty easy to make. Make a pot of cranberry-orange tea (I like Stonewall Kitchen’s). In a tea cup, pour ¼ tablespoon of Grand Marnier and a jigger of blended whiskey. Fill the cup with hot tea, leaving a little room for honey if desired.
