Nearly half of New Hampshire residents get their water supply at home from a private well, and most private well water in New Hampshire has some level of contaminants according to the NHDES.

Our free water test includes testing for hardness, pH, TDS, iron, manganese, chlorides, and alkalinity. To support any health-related testing requests, such as PFAS, Radon, Uranium, and Arsenic, we can collect water samples and bring them to an accredited laboratory for you, but we do pass along the lab fees. Please only use accredited labs for testing health-related contaminants. *Free water test does not include health-related testing.

The best way to protect yourself and your family is to understand what’s in your water. The only way to know what’s in your water is to test it. Many harmful contaminants are odorless and tasteless, so testing is the safest option. Even if you’re on municipal water, lead can be present especially if you have older pipes. Once you know what’s in your water, you can decide what, if anything, you want to treat. Private well owners are not required to treat water unless it’s being used as a public water system.

The specialist will test your water onsite for hardness, pH, TDS, iron, manganese, chlorides, and alkalinity. They can also tell you about commonly found health-related contaminants in your area.

We strongly recommend homeowners follow the NHDES recommended testing schedule for health contaminants. Testing is the only way to know your water is safe. To ensure the highest level of integrity, we only use certified third-party laboratories for any contaminants connected to health concerns like cancer and other diseases. Contaminants often found in New Hampshire water include arsenic, uranium, radon, PFAS and bacteria.

I’ve had several technicians come out, never had a bad experience, but the guy they sent yesterday actually seemed to care about his job deeply.
